# Read the Company overview

> Choose your company scope, interpret available metrics, and follow widget links to the full records.

Open **Company Overview** from the sidebar. Your portal may label this entry **Overview** or **Company**. Review the overview for your permitted company scope. Use it to spot an area to investigate, then open the relevant module for its complete records and actions.

**Audience:** Company users and MSP staff. The controls and data shown depend on the user’s access.

## Check the company scope

1. Read the page title and current company selection before interpreting the figures.
2. If a company selector is available, choose the company you intend to review.
3. MSP staff with access can use **Global View** or **Assigned View** for an aggregate overview. These views still respect the user’s accessible companies.
4. If your permitted scope includes a parent company and its children, check whether parent mode is selected. Its overview can combine those companies.

A Company user should ask their MSP about missing company access. Changing a URL, following a link, or reading a guide does not grant access to another company.

## Read the summary metrics

Available metrics can include devices, expired or soon-expiring warranties, open tickets, upcoming meetings, customer satisfaction, active projects, training progress, users, and incomplete goals.

Select a metric to open the relevant module. Check that module’s company scope and filters: the destination is not always filtered to the exact condition in the metric. For example, a warranty metric opens Devices, where you can investigate the relevant warranties.

User-administration metrics and staff controls are not a way for Company administrators to manage users. Your MSP manages that access.

## Use the widgets

Widgets show a short selection of records, not a complete list. Use **View all** when available to open the full module. A widget’s count can be larger than the number of preview rows.

| Widget | What to do |
| ------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Tickets** | Open a listed ticket to inspect it, or use View all to find other tickets. [Follow up on a ticket](/user-guides/ticketing/follow-up-on-a-ticket). |
| **Devices** | Open a device to investigate its details, or view the inventory. [Find devices](/user-guides/devices/find-devices). |
| **Compliance** | Open a listed check or the Compliance area to review the underlying assessment. |
| **Planner** | Open a listed planning item or the Planner area to inspect the proposal. |
| **Projects** | Open a listed project. This widget can be absent when no project data is available. |
| **Goals** | Open Goals to find the relevant goal and review progress. A goal preview does not necessarily open that exact goal. |
| **Training** | Review available learning or security-awareness summary information. For your own courses, use [My Training](/user-guides/training/take-a-course). |
| **Reports** | Open a listed report or the reports area. Viewing a report does not edit it. |
| **Meetings** | Open a listed meeting to review its available content. |
| **Documentation** | Open an available document, asset, or procedure shortcut. [Read shared documentation](/user-guides/documentation/find-shared-documents). |
| **Customer satisfaction** | Open the satisfaction results. [Read CSAT feedback](/user-guides/surveys/read-csat-feedback). |
| **Backup health** | Review the available provider’s health summary, then open its underlying backup area for details. |

Widgets appear independently based on module permission, integration, and data. Their arrangement can change when some are absent or reduced to a compact empty state.

## Staff account notes

In an individual company view, permitted MSP staff can see **Account Notes** with recent notes or QBR entries. **View all** opens the company’s notes settings. An entry linked to a meeting opens that meeting; another note can open the notes area.

Account notes are internal staff content. They are not Company-facing shared documents, and this widget does not give Company users access to them.

## Check an unexpected result

If a count looks wrong or a widget is missing:

1. Confirm the company or aggregate scope.
2. Open the underlying module and check its filters and available records.
3. Check whether the relevant integration or source data is available.
4. Ask your MSP to check permissions, synchronization, or a load failure if the mismatch persists.

The overview can be incomplete when data is unavailable. Do not treat a zero, empty widget, or favorable color as proof that every underlying system is healthy. Likewise, a missing widget does not prove the product lacks that capability.
