# Download quote documents and export the list

> Access quote documents from Quoter, QuoteWerks, and Salesbuildr, or export the loaded quote list to CSV.

MSPortal supports quotes from **Quoter**, **QuoteWerks**, and **Salesbuildr**. Open the quote through its provider to review the current document and available download options. Salesbuildr quotes also offer a built-in **Download PDF** action in MSPortal.

To export table data instead, use the Quotes table’s CSV export for the currently loaded list page. A CSV is a list of quote data, not the provider’s complete proposal or acceptance document.

**Audience:** Company users with quote access and MSP staff.

## Choose the document route for your provider

Provider links appear only when a link is available for that quote. Your portal access does not automatically grant access to an external provider page. On an internal quote detail page, the provider link is labeled **Open quote**.

## Open a Quoter document

    Open **Quotes**, check the company and quote number, and select the linked **Number** or **… > Open in Quoter**.

  <Step title="Review the current quote">
    The Quoter page opens in a new tab. Check the quote number, revision, line items, and terms before using its available document options. Do not rely on an older saved copy after your MSP revises a quote.

  <Step title="Get the copy you need">
    Use any document or download options offered on that quote page. If none are available, ask your MSP for a downloadable copy. MSPortal does not currently show its Salesbuildr-specific Download PDF control for Quoter records.

If **Open in Quoter** is missing, ask your MSP to check the Quoter connection’s subdomain and the synchronized quote link. Company users do not configure those integration settings.

## Open a QuoteWerks or QuoteValet document

    Open **Quotes**, check the company and quote number, then select the linked **Number** or **… > Open in QuoteWerks**.

  <Step title="Read the linked proposal">
    The link can lead to a QuoteValet customer-facing page when your MSP uses it. Review the proposal and its terms there; the portal action remains labeled Open in QuoteWerks.

  <Step title="Obtain the document">
    Use the document options available on that page. If no link or downloadable copy is available, ask your MSP to provide the proposal. A synchronized QuoteWerks record can exist in MSPortal without a customer-facing document link.

MSP staff should check the imported quote link and, when using QuoteValet, its integration configuration and the quote’s QuoteValet document association. See [QuoteWerks integration](/user-guides/integrations/enable-quotewerks-integration). Do not construct or guess a client document URL.

## Download a Salesbuildr quote PDF

<Steps>

    Open **Quotes**, locate the Salesbuildr quote, and open its row’s **…** menu. You can also use **Download PDF** on an accessible internal detail page.

  <Step title="Request the PDF">
    Select **Download PDF**. Wait while **Preparing PDF...** is shown. The portal asks Salesbuildr for the available document.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the result">
    Depending on the provider’s response, the PDF downloads or opens through a provider document link. Your browser may open that link in a new tab or use the current tab if the new tab is blocked.

    Check the document’s quote number, revision, and company before using or sharing it.

For Quoter and QuoteWerks, follow the provider-specific sections above. The absence of the built-in Download PDF button does not mean that provider is unsupported or that its quote has no document.

## Export quote rows to CSV

1. Open **Quotes** and select the intended company scope.
2. Apply the relevant filters and navigate to the page you want to export.
3. Use the column controls to show the fields you need.
4. Use the table’s CSV export action.
5. Open the downloaded file and check its rows and columns.

  The export contains the currently loaded page, not every matching quote across all pages. It follows the visible columns. Export each needed page separately or ask your MSP for a complete provider report.

CSV values are table data, not a rendered invoice or quote document. Dates and amounts can appear differently from their on-screen formatting. Keep the provider PDF or quote page for the complete terms and billing details.

## Troubleshooting documents and links

| Message or problem                     | What to do                                                                                                 |

| Provider page has no document download | Ask your MSP for a copy; provider document availability is separate from quote synchronization.            |
| No PDF available yet                   | Ask your MSP to generate the PDF in Salesbuildr, then try again.                                           |
| Salesbuildr is busy                    | Wait and retry later.                                                                                      |
| Saved API key was rejected             | Ask an MSP administrator to reconnect the integration. Company users do not enter integration credentials. |
| Quote is no longer available           | Return to the list and ask your MSP to check the record and your access.                                   |
| Provider could not return the PDF      | Retry later or ask your MSP for the document.                                                              |
| Download control is absent             | Check the provider; the built-in PDF action is for Salesbuildr quotes.                                     |

## Frequently asked questions

    Yes. Quotes supports all three. Their document paths differ: Quoter and QuoteWerks use available provider links, while Salesbuildr also has a built-in Download PDF action.

  <Accordion title="Why does Open in QuoteWerks open QuoteValet?">
    QuoteValet can be the customer-facing delivery page for a QuoteWerks quote. MSPortal uses that configured link while labeling the source provider QuoteWerks. Check the quote number and company before proceeding.

  <Accordion title="Can I export Quoter and QuoteWerks rows to CSV too?">
    Yes. CSV export applies to the loaded Quotes table rows regardless of these providers. It follows the visible columns and does not include every result page or replace the full proposal.

    No. It exports the loaded page of quote rows. The total count in the list can be larger than the exported row count.

  <Accordion title="Why is a column missing from my CSV?">
    Quote CSV export follows visible columns. Show the required column and export again.

  <Accordion title="Is the CSV the quote document I can accept?">
    No. Review the provider’s quote document and acceptance process. Exporting data does not accept anything.

  <Accordion title="Why is Download PDF only available on some quotes?">
    The built-in PDF action is specific to Salesbuildr. Quoter and QuoteWerks are also supported: use Open in Quoter or Open in QuoteWerks and the document options offered on the linked page, or ask your MSP for a copy.

  <Accordion title="Does Preparing PDF mean the download succeeded?">
    No. Wait for the document or a result message. A preparation state is not confirmation that the provider returned a file.

  <Accordion title="Can a Company user repair the Salesbuildr connection?">
    Ask your MSP to check it. Integration credentials and connection settings are MSP-managed.
