# Take a course and track progress

> Start or resume training, follow an assigned learning path, and check your completion status.

**Audience:** Company learners and MSP staff completing their own training. These instructions cover the portal's course player. Training delivered through another provider can have its own player and completion rules.

For **Huntress** tiles, follow [Open your Huntress training](/user-guides/training/open-huntress-training). These provider cards use a different launch and completion workflow.

## Start or resume a course

<Steps>
  <Step title="Find your course">
    Open **Training Menu > Course Library** and select **My Courses** to show your enrollments. If you have not enrolled yet, [find and enroll in the course](/user-guides/training/find-and-enroll).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the player">
    Select **Start** or **Continue**. A direct course link still requires access and an enrollment; ask your MSP if the course does not open.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Work through the content">
    Follow the course's instructions. Video, document, interactive, and quiz courses can require different actions. Use the player's fullscreen control when you need more room.

    Complete all required content and any assessment. A preview, an opened browser tab, or time spent on the page alone does not prove completion.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check the result">
    Review the displayed progress and completion result. If a save error appears, keep the course open while your connection recovers and check the result again. Report recurring errors to your MSP with the course title and message.

    When a certificate is available, use **View Certificate** or **View & Share** to open it.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Follow an assigned learning path

Your **Training** landing page can show learning paths assigned to you. Each path groups courses and shows completed courses, remaining work, and overall progress.

Select **Start Learning Path** or **Resume Next** to open the next course. You can also use a course's **Start** or **Continue** button within the path. **Show more** expands the course description. A completed course can offer **Review** or **View Certificate**.

If you have no learning-path assignment, Training may show the course library instead. That does not mean your individual enrollments were removed.

## Review your enrollment history

Open **Training Menu > My Training** (`/training/my-training`). Review the enrollment table's course or learning-path name, status, progress, score, and due date when present. Use the column filters to narrow the list.

The summary shows enrolled and completed courses, learning hours, and average score. Use the individual enrollment to check a specific course. To launch a course, return to its library card or assigned learning path.

## FAQs

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Where do I resume training?">
    Use **Continue** on the course's library card, or **Resume Next** on your assigned learning path. Resume behavior within the content depends on the course type and the progress successfully saved.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I manually mark any course complete?">
    No. Follow the course's required content and assessment. A document course may provide a reading confirmation; that does not apply to every course type.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why am I not complete after watching the video?">
    The course may include more content or a required assessment. Check the player and any error message. Ask your MSP if you completed the requirements but the enrollment still shows unfinished.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why does Training show learning paths for one user and a library for another?">
    Users can have different assignments. The landing page shows assigned learning paths when available and can show the library when no paths are assigned.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I change an assigned due date?">
    Ask your MSP to review the assignment or due date. Your personal training page is for completing and tracking learning.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What should I do if progress does not save?">
    Check your connection, retain the exact error and course title, and contact your MSP if the problem continues. Avoid unenrolling or creating a duplicate enrollment to resolve a progress problem.
