Audience: MSP staff with Standards read access, Planner Write permission and active billing. Open MSP Tools > Standards. First read the matrix and confirm which companies and standards the change should affect.

Choose the scope before the status

Search companies… does not restrict a column bulk action. Companies hidden by that search are still included. The top company scope determines the loaded company set; excluded companies are skipped by column actions even when shown.

Set all standards for one company

  1. Locate the company and right-click its company-name cell.
  2. Confirm the header names that company and the menu says Mark all standards as.
  3. Choose Mark Deployed, Mark In Progress, Mark Not Started, Mark N/A or Mark Declined.
  4. Wait for the result and review the whole row and its linked Planner work.
This includes optional standards and members of one-of categories. It is not limited to items that count toward the required score. The row menu does not choose a separate implementation for each standard; review deployment options individually afterward. A company row can be operated on while shown as Excluded. Exclusion does not make a row read-only.

Set one standard for companies in scope

  1. Review the top company selector. In Global View, check that you intend the broader company set.
  2. Right-click the standard column header.
  3. Confirm the standard name and Mark all companies as heading.
  4. Choose the status. If options are configured, you can instead choose one implementation for that standard across the affected companies.
  5. Wait for the result, clear company search, and review affected records and linked Planner work.
Selecting one deployment option marks the affected records Deployed with that same implementation. Deployed — option not specified clears option selections for the affected column. Choosing other statuses can retain existing selected options; review them when returning records to Deployed.

The column menu says Mark all companies as. Company search does not narrow this action.

Confirmation and verification

Status choices save immediately, without another confirmation or Save button. Press Escape or click outside the menu before selecting if the scope is wrong. Reopening a menu after submission is not an Undo. Company-name cells and standard headers also support opening their menu with Enter or Space when focused. A normal company-name link click opens its Planner List instead. Bulk status changes update tracking and attempt to update linked Planner statuses. Deployed maps to Completed; N/A and Declined map to Cancelled. Explicit bulk actions can replace On Hold or Pending Approval in linked work. A successful matrix message does not prove every linked Planner update succeeded; compare the records after important changes. Bulk status updates preserve stored Standards notes, unlike the current single-cell update path. Neither menu is a notes editor. If a bulk update fails, refresh before retrying and ask the MSP administrator to investigate affected records. Do not repeatedly apply broader changes to repair one mismatched item.
