Import pasted lists and CSV files, add tasks from portal records, and create tasks from meetings.
Use this guide to create many tasks at once. You can import a list, add tasks from a ticket, device, report or other record, or turn a recorded meeting into tasks. This guide is for MSP staff. Review every task before it is created.
Go to Tasks and click Import, or click Import tasks in the side panel header.
2
Paste or upload your tasks
Paste one task per line, or click Upload .csv or .txt and choose a file up to 2 MB. Leading bullets, numbers, and checkbox markers are removed. For a CSV file, use these headers:
title,description,due_date,priorityReview restore evidence,Confirm the restore procedure,2026-10-01,highUpdate the recovery runbook,Record the agreed steps,2026-10-02,medium
Use YYYY-MM-DD dates and low, medium, or high priorities. Quote fields that contain commas. A date or priority the import does not recognize is left out, so check the preview. Long titles and descriptions are shortened to their limits.
3
Review the preview
Under Tasks to import, untick rows to leave them out, remove unwanted rows, or use Select All / Deselect All. The count shows how many are selected.
CSV import preview.
4
Import
Click the import button, which reads Import 5 tasks for five selected rows. You can import up to 500 tasks at once. Nothing is created until you click it.
5
Tag a company (optional)
Open a task and choose a Company to share it with that company’s team.
On a supported list or record menu, choose Add to task list. To add several items, select them first and choose the same action from the bulk menu.
2
Review the proposed tasks
Check each task’s title, Company, Priority, and Due date. A bulk addition creates one task per selected item. If the items belong to different companies, choose whether each task keeps its item’s company or the whole batch uses one company.
Review linked tasks before adding them.
3
Choose sharing
Choose a company to share the task with its assigned team, or Make private to keep it to you and staff with task-list audit access.
4
Add the task
Click Add task, or Add 3 tasks when you selected three items. Each task keeps a link to its source. Creating or deleting the task does not change the source record.
On the Tasks page, or in the side panel (the video icon), click From meeting. The button shows only after your portal has connected a meeting-notes tool.
2
Connect your account (first time)
If asked, paste your personal API key and click Connect. Create the key in your Fellow account under User settings > Developer API. If the tool is not connected for your portal, the dialog says so and an admin can connect it under Settings > Integrations.
3
Pick a meeting
Choose a meeting recorded in the last 14 days. Click Create tasks. AI reads its notes and transcript.
4
Review the suggestions
Edit titles, priorities, and due dates. Untick anything you do not want, then add the rest.
Action items assigned to staff in a meeting also appear in their task lists. If an item has no active staff assignee, its staff creator may own the task. Status, title, due date, supported priority changes, and staff reassignment stay in sync. Completing the task completes its meeting action item.See Add a meeting transcript for the meeting workflow.
