The Company M365 Setup step guides you through connecting Microsoft 365 tenants for your client companies. This enables user synchronization, license management, and security features.

What You’ll Configure

  • M365 Connection - Link a company to their Microsoft 365 tenant
  • User Sync - Automatically import users from Azure AD/Entra ID
  • License Visibility - View M365 license assignments
  • Security Features - Enable Secure Score monitoring (if applicable)

Steps to Complete

Navigate to Companies

Click Go to Settings in the onboarding wizard, or go to Settings > Companies.

Select a Company

Click on a company that you want to connect to Microsoft 365.

Go to M365 Tab

On the company detail page, click the Microsoft 365 tab.

Initiate Connection

Click Connect Microsoft 365. This will redirect to Microsoft’s authentication flow.

Grant Permissions

Sign in with an administrator account from the client’s M365 tenant and approve the requested permissions.

Configure Sync Settings

Once connected, configure which users to sync and how often.

Required Permissions

To connect M365, you need consent from an administrator in the client’s tenant. The permissions requested include:
  • User.Read.All - Read user profiles
  • Directory.Read.All - Read directory data
  • Organization.Read.All - Read organization info
The client’s M365 administrator must approve these permissions. You may need to coordinate with your client contact to complete this step.

Manual Completion

This step requires manual completion. Click Mark Complete in the wizard when you’ve connected M365 for at least one company.
You don’t need to connect M365 for every company during onboarding. Start with one or two companies to learn the process, then connect others as needed.
