When your MSP turns on the BenjiPays Pay Now button, unpaid invoices show a Pay Now button. Your MSP can also, or instead, give you an Open billing portal button. This guide is for company users and MSP staff who want to pay from the invoice list or open their billing portal.

Before you start

  • Your MSP must have turned on the BenjiPays Pay Now button. Without it, no payment button appears, even if you have an Open billing portal button.
  • The button only shows on invoices with money due. See Why the button is missing.
  • Your MSP can rename the button, so yours may not say Pay Now.

Pay an invoice

Find the invoice

Open Invoices and find the right invoice and company. Open the PDF if you want to check the original.

Check the amount

Read the invoice number and Balance. The link carries the balance, or the invoice total when no balance is supplied.

Click Pay Now

Click the payment button at the end of the row. The payment page opens in a new tab.

Check the page and pay

Confirm the invoice and amount on the payment provider’s page, then follow its steps. The portal does not collect payment details.

Keep the receipt

Use the payment provider’s confirmation or receipt as proof of payment.

Return to the portal later

The invoice updates after the next sync from your PSA, so the balance can still show for a while.
Clicking the button does not charge you. If the amount looks wrong, stop and ask your MSP to check the invoice first.

Open your billing portal

Your MSP can also give you an Open billing portal button at the top of Invoices. It signs you in to your BenjiPays billing portal with your portal login, where you can see your billing account, saved payment methods, and payment history.

Open Invoices

Click Invoices in the sidebar.

Click Open billing portal

Your BenjiPays billing portal opens. You don’t need a separate BenjiPays password.

Verify your email if asked

The first time, BenjiPays may ask you to confirm your email address. Follow its email, then click Open billing portal again.
BenjiPays finds your billing account by your email address. If it can’t, Invoices shows a message saying so. Ask your MSP to add billing portal access for the email you sign in with.

Why the button is missing

  • Your MSP has not turned on a working payment-link integration.
  • The invoice has no balance due, or its status is void or cancelled.
  • The invoice is closed and no balance is supplied.
A missing button does not prove an invoice is paid. A button that stays after you paid does not prove the payment failed. The portal may not have synced yet.
