Use this guide to get a quote document, or to export the quotes table. This page is for company users and MSP staff. MSPortal links to the quote on the provider’s page. Salesbuildr quotes also have a Download PDF action in MSPortal.

Before you start

  • You need Quotes read access (the Quotes resource with Read access in the role editor).
  • Provider links and PDFs appear only when the provider supplied them for that quote.
  • MSPortal sign-in does not give you access to the provider’s page. Ask your MSP for a copy if the page will not open.

Choose the right route

On the quote detail page, the provider link is labeled Open quote.

Open a Quoter document

Find the quote

Click Quotes in the sidebar. Check the company and number, then choose … > Open in Quoter. The Number opens the quote’s detail page in MSPortal, where Open quote goes to Quoter.

Review it

The Quoter page opens in a new tab. Check the number, revision, line items, and terms.

Get your copy

Use any document or download option on that page. If there is none, ask your MSP for a copy.
If Open in Quoter is missing, ask your MSP to check the Quoter URL name and the synced quote link.

Open a QuoteWerks or QuoteValet document

Find the quote

Click Quotes in the sidebar, then choose … > Open in QuoteWerks on the quote’s row.

Read the proposal

The link can open a QuoteValet page. The menu still says Open in QuoteWerks. Read the proposal and its terms.

Get your copy

Use the document options on that page. If there are none, ask your MSP for a copy.
MSP staff: check the synced quote link and the QuoteValet setting. See Configure QuoteWerks Integration. Do not build or guess a customer link.

Download a Salesbuildr PDF

Find the quote

Click Quotes in the sidebar and find the Salesbuildr quote. On the detail page you can use the Download PDF button instead.

Click Download PDF

Click the … menu on the row and choose Download PDF. The label changes to Preparing PDF… while MSPortal asks Salesbuildr for the file.

Open the file

The PDF downloads, or it opens from a Salesbuildr link in a new tab. If your browser blocks the new tab, it opens in the current tab. Check the number, revision, and company before you share it.
The PDF is fetched from Salesbuildr each time, so it matches the current quote.

Export the quotes table to CSV

Set the company and filters

Click Quotes, pick the company in the top bar, and set your filters.

Skip the paging

The export covers every quote that matches your company and filters, across all pages. You do not need to go to each page.

Show the columns you need

Click Columns, turn on the fields, and click Save Changes. The CSV has the columns that are visible.

Click Export CSV

Click Export CSV above the table. A progress toast reads Exporting N of M… while MSPortal loads the quotes in batches, then Exported N rows. The browser downloads quotes.

Check the file

Open the file and check the rows before you use it. If a batch fails, MSPortal shows The export could not finish. Try again. and downloads no file, so you never get a partial export.
The CSV is table data. It is not the proposal or a document you can accept. Dates and amounts can look different from the screen.
