Review milestones
1
Start with Total
When milestones exist, select Total to see all available milestones. Select Completed, In Progress, or Pending to focus the list. Select the active filter again, or Total, to clear it.
2
Read status and planned date
Each row has a title and status: Pending, In Progress, Complete, or Skipped. On wider screens you may also see the planned date and a related phase or ticket reference.
3
Expand for detail
Select the row or expand arrow to read its description and any available notes. If dates or linked references are hidden on a small screen, use a wider display. Expanding does not expose every piece of row metadata.
Understand the counts and delay indicator
Total includes Skipped milestones. The three status totals do not include a separate Skipped total; use Total to find those rows. Counts describe milestones available to your account, not unread items or every milestone the MSP can see. A +Nd indicator means the milestone’s recorded actual date is later than its planned date, or an unfinished milestone has passed its planned date by that many full days. It is a date comparison, not an SLA breach or proof that a ticket is late. A Complete milestone without an actual date, a Skipped milestone without an actual date, or a milestone without a planned date may have no delay marker. The MSP can set the list order. Do not assume the first row always has the earliest planned date. Milestone status and dates are maintained separately from project and ticket completion.FAQs
Why do the status totals add up to less than Total?
Why do the status totals add up to less than Total?
Total includes Skipped milestones. Skipped has no separate summary filter; select Total to include it.
Does Complete mean the entire project is finished?
Does Complete mean the entire project is finished?
No. It marks that milestone complete. Check the project and its remaining work separately.
Why is a completed milestone still marked +Nd?
Why is a completed milestone still marked +Nd?
Its recorded actual completion date can be later than the planned date. The indicator can remain as a record of that difference.
Can I change a milestone date or mark it complete?
Can I change a milestone date or mark it complete?
Company users read shared milestones; the MSP manages changes. Authorized MSP staff can use Manage project milestones.
Does No milestones yet mean the project has no work?
Does No milestones yet mean the project has no work?
No. There may be no shared milestones even when tickets or phases contain work. If a status filter is active, select Total first; otherwise ask your MSP what has been shared.
