Use this page to look up and copy a password your MSP shared with you. It is for company users and MSP staff who were given access to shared documentation passwords.

Before you start

  • Your MSP must connect Hudu or IT Glue and turn on password sharing for your company. In Hudu, they do this in the integration settings.
  • Your role needs Documentation access and the shared-password permission. Access to Documents alone does not show Passwords.
  • Passwords are never stored in MSPortal. Each time you click Reveal, MSPortal fetches the value from Hudu or IT Glue.

Find and use a shared password

Open Passwords

Open Documentation > Passwords. Check the company selector if you have access to more than one company.

Find the entry

Use the Name and Company column filters. Check the Username, Folder, and URL columns to make sure it is the account you want.

Reveal the password

Click Reveal and wait for the value to load.

Show or copy it

Use the eye icon (Show password or Hide password) to show or hide the value, and the copy icon (Copy password) to copy it. The username has its own copy icon (Copy username).

Open the service

Click the login URL when one is shown, and sign in to the service. Copying a password does not sign you in.
A revealed password hides itself after 90 seconds. Click Reveal again if you still need it. Hiding the value on screen does not clear what you already copied to your clipboard. Some shared asset records also have a password field. Its Reveal control follows the same access checks and can show the linked username and login URL.

The entry and its live value can have different availability. Your MSP should check the sharing rules, your role and company scope, and the provider connection.
No. This view is for reading and copying. Ask your MSP to update the password in the service and in their documentation provider.
