Budget products are reusable starting values for budget line items. This guide shows you where the catalog is and how to read it. Opening the catalog does not order anything, change a subscription or add costs to a budget. It is for MSP staff and for company users whose MSP has given them budget edit access.

Before you start

  • Budgets Menu only appears for people who can edit budgets (write_budgets or manage_budgets).
  • Changing the catalog (create, edit, delete, import) needs write_budgets or manage_budgets.
  • Importing from integrations is for MSP staff only. Company users cannot use it.

Open the catalog

Open Budgets

Click Budgets in the sidebar.

Open the menu

Click Budgets Menu, then click Products. The page is titled Products with the subtitle Manage catalog items for budgeting.

Check the company

Look at the company selector in the top bar. With one company selected, the table shows that company’s products and shared products. In Global View it shows products from every company you can access.

Browse the pages

The table shows 20 products per page, newest changes first. Use the page controls under the table.
The table has no Company column and no shared-only toggle. If you are not sure who a product belongs to, ask your MSP before you change it. A shared product can be used in many company budgets.

Read the table

The price shows a dollar sign. The table does not show a currency code and does not convert prices. Check the currency when you add a product to a budget.

Find a missing product

Type in the Name filter to search the whole catalog. It matches a product’s name, SKU, category, vendor and product group, across all pages. The other columns have no filter. The table has no sorting or CSV export. Use the company selector and the page controls. Search also exists inside the import dialogs and in the budget editor’s Products & Services panel. Check the company, the other pages, and whether the product was actually imported. A product you can see in the Import from Integrations dialog is not saved to the catalog until you import it.
