External dashboards show a service that your MSP has linked. They can appear inside MSPortal or need a separate browser tab. The service can require its own account. This guide is for Company users with dashboard access and for MSP staff.

Before you start

  • Your MSP must have linked the dashboard and given your Company a URL for it. Company users cannot see a dashboard that has no URL for their company.
  • You may need your own sign-in for the external service. An MSPortal login does not create it.

Open the dashboard

Open Dashboards

Click Dashboards in the main navigation. A dashboard pinned by your MSP can also have its own link in the main navigation.

Find it in the icon rail

External dashboards sit below the divider in the icon rail on the left. Hover over an icon to see its name and the label External.

Select the company (MSP staff)

Choose one company in the company selector to open that company’s URL. In Global View, or with several companies selected, MSPortal opens the default URL. Selecting several companies does not combine their dashboards.

View the dashboard

Wait for it to load, then sign in to the external service if it asks.

Open it in a new tab if needed

If MSPortal cannot show it inside the page, click Open in New Tab.

What you see

Filters and exports

The date menu, width button and Export PDF button of internal dashboards do not apply to external dashboards. Use the filters, print and download options of the external service.
