Use Cloud > Licenses to see who holds a Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace license, and to compare assignments by email domain, office, or license combination. This page is for MSP staff and company users. The views are read only.

Before you start

  • You need Cloud read access (the Cloud resource with Read access in the role editor). Storefront read access alone shows the Licenses view and nothing else.
  • The views cover Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. They do not show Adobe.
  • The data is synced. It does not add or remove licenses.

See who holds a license

Pick one company

Use the company selector in the top bar to pick one company.

Open Cloud > Licenses

Click Cloud in the sidebar, then click the Licenses tab. Keep the Licenses view selected.

Click the license row

Click a Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace row.

Read the Assigned users list

A panel opens with the counts and the Assigned users list. It shows Name, Email, and Status, 100 users per page.

Close the panel

Close the panel when you are done.
If several companies are selected, the user list covers all selected companies for that license, while the heading describes the row you clicked. Pick one company first for a company review.
Adobe rows do not open this panel. Google shows a dash for purchased and available counts because Google does not report them. An empty panel does not prove nobody holds the license, so ask your MSP to check the sync if the count looks wrong.

Pick the company and provider

Set the company selector in the top bar. If a Provider filter is shown, set it too.

Choose a view

Click By domain, By office, or By combination next to Licenses above the table.

Filter the table

Use the filters under the column headings. You can sort the columns and use Columns to show or hide them.

Open a combination

On By combination, click a row to open Users with this combination. It lists Name, Email, and Company, 100 users per page.
A combination is a set of licenses. It is not a Microsoft 365 or Google group. Directory groups are on the Groups tab.

What changes the breakdowns

  • The company selector, the Provider filter, and Hide free & trial change the breakdowns.
  • Hide large allocations, Only unused seats, and the License, Product, and Status filters do not.
  • Hide free & trial also leaves out Microsoft 365 assignments whose synced subscriptions are marked as trials, including from the combination user list.
  • Hide free & trial changes which licenses count toward a combination. Two people can share a visible combination even if their hidden free or trial licenses differ. Turning it off can split one combination into several.
  • With several companies selected, matching domains, offices, and combinations are added together across those companies.
  • The counts are numbers of users. They are not purchased seats.
