Security Training brings the security awareness programs you run for clients into MSPortal. Learner progress, phishing results, and campaign activity from every connected provider appear in one table you can sort, filter, and export.

Supported providers

Each provider needs its integration connected and its organizations mapped to MSPortal companies. See the integration guides for Huntress, Phin, Breach Secure Now, and CyberHoot.

Training Status

Go to Training > Security Training. The Training Status tab lists every learner across your connected providers.

Filtering and sorting

Every column carries a filter, and the whole table sorts on the column you choose. Filtering and sorting run across the complete result set, not just the rows on screen, so a filter narrows the real total and the count updates with it. Columns that only apply to one provider stay hidden until you turn them on with the column toggle. Use the export control to download the filtered set rather than the whole table.
Combine the Provider and Completion filters to find the learners furthest behind in a single program, then sort by Last training to see who has not engaged at all.

Huntress assignments

With Huntress Managed SAT connected, the Assignments tab shows the training assignments running across your mapped organizations. The summary across the top shows active assignments, episode count, learner assignments, and overall completion. Each assignment row shows:
  • The assignment name and the company it belongs to
  • Its status: Draft, Staged, Launching, In progress, Completed, or Canceled
  • The number of episodes
  • Learner progress, shown as completed of assigned with a completion percentage
  • The schedule, with start and end dates
Open an assignment to see the learners assigned to it, who has finished, and the episode list. Each episode shows its learning objectives, unlock date, passing score, and attempt limit. Search by assignment, episode, or company, and filter the list by assignment status.
Preview episode opens the episode in Huntress in a new tab. Previews may not record learner completion. Learners should use their assigned Huntress training link so their progress is tracked.

Your own assigned training

Episodes assigned to you personally appear as courses in your training library at Training > Course Library, alongside portal courses.
  • A tile appears when your email matches a Huntress learner in your tenant and you are enrolled in an assignment that has synced episodes
  • Tiles are searchable and filterable with the rest of the catalog, and appear under the My Courses filter
  • They count toward your enrolled courses, completed count, and average score, based on your Huntress activity
  • One tile per episode, even when the same episode is in more than one assignment
Staff who are not Huntress learners see nothing extra in their library. The company-wide view stays on the Assignments tab.

Security awareness in reporting

Security awareness data feeds the reporting module for every supported provider:
  • The Security Awareness Overview and Security Awareness Attention blocks are available to any company with awareness data from a connected provider
  • Security Awareness & Training is a suggested content source on QBR and Security Review narrative reports
Reports built before this release keep the content sources saved on their template. To include awareness data in an existing scheduled report, enable the Security Awareness & Training source on that template.

Troubleshooting

Learners only appear for organizations mapped to an MSPortal company. Open the provider’s integration settings and map the remaining organizations, then run a sync.
Huntress SAT may not be enabled on the integration, its accounts may still need company mappings, or the first assignment sync may still be pending. Check Settings > Integrations > Huntress.
Episodes arrive with the daily assignment sync. If an assignment stays empty, run a manual sync from the Huntress integration and check that the organization is mapped.
Your MSPortal email address has to match your Huntress learner record, and the assignment must have synced episodes. Draft and canceled assignments are not shown.
Confirm the company has mapped learners with the provider. On a report built before this release, enable the Security Awareness & Training content source on the template.
