Cyrisma is in Beta and shows a Beta badge in Settings › Integrations › Directory. If Cyrisma does not appear in the Directory for your workspace, contact support@msportal.ai.
What the integration covers
- Covered: every Cyrisma tenant the API key can reach, with its grades and counts of assets and open findings. For each tenant you match to a company, MSPortal also syncs its assets and open CVEs, and the daily count of findings remediated.
- Not covered: Cyrisma assets are not added to Devices. Cyrisma never creates devices in MSPortal. Cyrisma findings have no resolved history in MSPortal, so the Resolved status on Security › Vulnerabilities lists Cork findings only.
Before you start
You need:- Admin access to Cyrisma, so you can create an API key under Settings › API Keys.
- Your Cyrisma instance URL. This is the address you sign in to Cyrisma at, such as
https://cc123456.cyrisma.com. The key works only on the instance that issued it. - Integration management access in MSPortal.
Create a read-only API key in Cyrisma
- In Cyrisma, open Settings › API Keys and choose Create.
- Name the key MSPortal and choose the Read access level.
- Turn on Applies to sub-organizations, so the key reaches every client tenant you want MSPortal to report on. A tenant the key cannot reach does not appear in MSPortal.
- Copy the client ID and client secret right away. Cyrisma shows the secret only once. If you lose it, create a new key.
Connect
- Open Settings › Integrations, choose Directory, find Cyrisma, and choose Connect.
- Enter your Instance URL. It must be a
cyrisma.comaddress such ashttps://cc123456.cyrisma.com. If you leave outhttps://, MSPortal adds it. A port, a path or sign-in details in the address are not accepted. - Enter the Client ID and Client secret from the key you created.
- Choose Test connection. A successful test shows Connection verified and how many tenants the key can reach, for example “Key verified. It can reach 12 tenants.” If that number is lower than you expect, check that Applies to sub-organizations is on.
- Choose Save and continue. MSPortal stores the key in its vault and starts the first sync, which lists your Cyrisma tenants.
MSPortal never shows the saved secret again. To change the key later, open the connection page, choose Update next to Credentials, enter the new values, and test again. If you change the instance URL, enter the client secret again.
Match tenants to companies
After the first sync, the Import or match tenants step lists your Cyrisma tenants. Link each one to its MSPortal company.- Quick match: MSPortal suggests a company for each tenant from its name. Review the suggestions on the Suggested list, then choose Accept, or choose Change to pick another company.
- Bulk map: choose Accept strong matches to accept every suggestion with 90% confidence or more in one step. You can untick any pair you want to review yourself first.
- Import company: creates an MSPortal company from a tenant that has no match.
- Ignore: hides a tenant that is not a client’s. Choose Restore to bring it back.
A tenant Cyrisma has marked as deleted is listed for matching only while a match for it already exists, and it is not synced.
Sync and activity
Cyrisma syncs daily at 04:25 UTC. Each run reads your tenants and their grades, then the assets and open CVEs of every matched tenant, and finishes with each matched tenant’s daily remediation counts. To sync now, choose Run sync on the connection page or on the integration’s row. You need integration management access, and the connection must be active. Open the Sync activity tab to see how the connection is doing. It lists three datasets, each marked Completed or Not run yet.
The tab also shows when syncing is paused, with a Reactivate button, and the error from the last failed run. If Cyrisma refuses one tenant, MSPortal skips that tenant, keeps what it already stored, and syncs the rest.
Where the data appears
- Security › Dashboard: the Cyrisma vulnerability posture card shows the average score (or the Overall grade when one company is selected), clients graded, assets scanned, distinct CVEs, open findings by severity, a daily chart of findings remediated, and the companies with the lowest grades. The summary tiles add Critical findings, Known exploited CVEs and Remediated (30 days). The card needs at least one tenant matched to a company in your selection. See Read the Security Dashboard.
- Security › Vulnerabilities: Cyrisma findings appear with the source Cyrisma, one row per CVE for each matched company. Device shows a sample of the affected assets, or how many there are, and Software shows what causes the CVE. Cyrisma has no priority, so Priority shows a dash. See Find and read vulnerabilities.
- Reports and dashboards: add the Cyrisma Security Posture block. It shows the client’s overall grade (or the average score across several clients), open findings by severity, known exploited CVEs, findings remediated in 30 days, grades by client with the worst first, and the highest-impact CVEs. It reflects the latest sync, not the report period. Viewers need Security read access.
- AI reports: security reports include Cyrisma posture and vulnerability data.
- MCP: use
list_vulnerabilitieswith the Cyrisma provider, orget_security_summaryfor Cyrisma totals.
Troubleshooting
To remove the connection, open More actions on the connection page and choose Disconnect…. This removes the stored key, the tenant matches and the data synced from Cyrisma. It changes nothing in Cyrisma. Delete the API key in Cyrisma when you no longer need it.
