Branch preview: this workflow is being prepared for release. Screenshots show MSPortal Demo. Editing requires staff access and permission to edit the report presentation.
Open the report’s presentation menu and choose Edit. Select a slide from the thumbnail rail. On desktop, the rail, preview and editing sidebar scroll within the editor.

Edit directly on the slide

Click a title, subtitle, key point, statistic or other slide text and type your change. Press Enter or click away to apply it to the draft. Press Escape while editing to restore that field. Choose Save in the page header to keep your changes. Select text and choose the small Ask AI button to attach it to the chat composer. You can attach several selections to one request. Comment with AI attaches the whole slide’s title. Write the changes in the main composer, then send with the up-arrow. Sent selections leave the composer immediately and remain in the conversation. If the request fails or you stop it, they return for retry. Remove a selection with its X without clearing your instruction. Selections stay with their slide when you move to another slide. Enter sends; Shift+Enter adds a new line. Stop response cancels an active response. If a request fails, your instruction and selections stay available to retry. Review the result and any warning about figures, then choose Save.
Slide editor with chart resize dividers, a hidden company logo and selected content in chat

Branch preview: chart dividers, direct text editing and multiple selections in the AI composer.

Drag the dividers between chart areas to change their width or height. On dashboard slides, the divider beside the statistics changes the space available for charts. On a single-chart slide with takeaways, the divider changes the chart’s width beside the takeaways. Neighboring areas adjust together to stay within the slide. You can focus a divider and use the arrow keys to resize it, or double-click it to restore the default proportion. Chart dimensions stay in the draft until Save and remain in place after an AI rewrite. Use Hide company logo in the page header to remove the company’s icon throughout the presentation. Use Show company logo to restore it. Save the change to apply it to the presentation viewer and PDF/print output. Newly generated or AI-rewritten dashboard slides use two status badges on one row or four on two rows. Existing saved slides with three badges remain readable. Decision slides align recommendation boxes across the row so actions are easy to compare.

Use the detailed controls

Expand Content for structured adjustments such as adding, reordering or removing key points. Points appear as compact expandable rows. Expand Topic label and speaker notes for presenter details. These sections start collapsed on valid slides so the preview and AI conversation stay prominent. Invalid slide content opens for correction before an AI rewrite. Move, duplicate, hide or delete a slide using the compact buttons below its preview; hover or focus a button to read its tooltip. Discard restores the last saved deck.
